Things just never seem to slow down... We have been putting up hay, Ben has been building fence like crazy for his expanding cattle herd, and we have had some goofy weather this last week! For about 10 straight days now we have had bright, sunny days with major thunderstorms about mid-way through the day. Some locations even got hail! It looks like we are expecting another few days of the same. This photo is our wonderfully tranquil, and peaceful pond. It's hard to see in the photo, but one evening after a 92 degree day, a thunderstorm was moving in. The temperature dropped from the low 90's to 68 in less than 2 hours. The pond had a very magical, rolling steam that danced over the water as the breeze pushed it around. It was so cool to just sit and watch it with all the frogs starting a chorus as the sun set!

On June 21st- we particpated in Summerfest, which helps benefit Camp Sunshine here in Maine for terminally ill children and the families. Jocelia's mini-donkey Brighty, and our Llama Cookie, just basked in the attention from all the kids and adults alike as the hundreds of people poured onto the grounds. Many kids got a picture with them, and the excitement of 'patting a REAL Llama and Donkey'! We plan on doing this bigger next year and will take one of our Morgans to meet and greet as well! (Hopefully a mare and foal combo!)

We still have some updating to do on the rest of the site, and we will be adding a picture page of the farm so that we can share our favorite photos.

We are very pleased to have Carole Thoms (my Mom and founder of Skyloft) featued in the NYSMHS historical section! It shows many pictures, video interview and neat stories and history of our horses. It is so nice to have this section of information and history available on the many breeders, and farms of NY state. For anyone that hasn't looked there- check it out! Thanks Mom for starting such a legacy of horses over 45 years ago!!
